Best boutique hotel in Positano: Le Sirenuse
Looking for the best boutique hotel in Positano? Or perhaps are you wondering where to stay in Positano on a budget? Well we can help you with both of those criteria- luxury for less. That’s our specialty. How would you like to stay in a 5 stay luxury hotel on the Amalfi Coast for free? Yes, you heard me right.
Le Sirenuse is one of the best hotels in Europe and one of the most luxurious hotels on the Amalfi Coast. As locals say, Positano is Le Sirenuse. Check out our extremely thorough Le Sirenuse hotel review for tons of photos and details on this beautiful luxury boutique hotel in Positano. It is glamorous and refined, but Le Sirenuse prices are steep. Unless of course you know what we know. You don’t have to stay in one of the cheap hotels in Positano to have an affordable Amalfi Coast vacation. You can stay at Le Sirenuse for free. We did, and we’re here to tell you how you can too.
We saw Le Sirenuse in a magazine years ago and had been dreaming of visiting ever since. So Bertaut, with his savvy travel planning, did some research on how we could stay there without paying full price. We like luxury without having to pay luxury prices. You can travel like a millionaire even if you’re not one.
Join Leading Hotels of the World
Bertaut discovered that Le Sirenuse is one of the Leading Hotels of the World. For an annual fee, you can become a member of the program and earn free stays in any of the Leading Hotels. Chaching!
It makes sense to join the Leading Hotels of the World program for frequent luxury travelers like us or for business travelers. We became members of the Leaders Club, which has many perks such as free breakfast, free room upgrades, and free stays. For $150 annual fee, you get one free hotel stay after 5 completed stays. Or if you really want to go all out, you can pay $1200 for the Unlimited Leaders Club membership which will earn you a free stay after 4 completed stays.
To get the most bang for your buck, complete your 4 or 5 stays in the most affordable Leading Hotels. We’ve found rates as low as $150 per night in Las Vegas. Then use your free night at one of the most expensive Leading Hotels, like Le Sirenuse.
Get a Complimentary Room Upgrade
This is how we stayed at Le Sirenuse for free in a sea view room. We booked the standard room with our free stay and then received a complimentary room upgrade at check-in. The upgrade is based on availability so it is not guaranteed. However, we’ve been very fortunate so far as Unlimited members and have always received our free upgrades. The cost for a sea view room fluctuates based on demand, but we were quoted about $1900/night in high season. We paid nothing! It was so exhilarating!
Rooms at Le Sirenuse aren’t cheap, even in low season which usually starts around the end of October. Prices fluctuate constantly, but we’ve seen rates from $630 for a standard room in low season to $7868 for a 2 bedroom suite in high season. But if you are getting your room for free, you don’t even need to concern yourself with the price.
Start planning when you’ll stay at Le Sirenuse for free…
So now that you know how to stay at Le Sirenuse for free, start planning your future visit. Amalfi Coast vacations are the stuff dreams are made of, so add it to your bucket list! Check out our post about breakfast at Le Sirenuse, which is complimentary for guests and offers amazing sea views and endless champagne. Read about how this Amalfi Coast resort pampers its guests with complimentary excursions on Le Sirenuse’s boat.
While you’re vacationing on the Amalfi Coast, visit the other Leading Hotels of the World in the area and cash in more free nights. We stayed at several leading Leading Hotels in the area on this vacation. We stayed in Sorrento at Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria, Hotel Santa Catarina in Amalfi, and Mezzatore Resort and Spa in Ischia. They were all incredible. We made great use of our free nights on our dream vacation to the Amalfi Coast. We also paid for a few nights to accumulate toward our next free stays. Wonder where that will be… You can also check out this post about visiting Italy on a budget for more ideas to make your money go further.
