During our fabulous stay at Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa, we spent our first several nights in their Park Villa before scoring a free upgrade to their Park Pool Villa due to being Hyatt Diamond members. We stayed in Park Villa 9 and were extremely pleased by the gorgeous villa, private beach access, and exotic outdoor bath and shower area. Each park villa has floor-to-ceiling windows allowing sunlight to pour into the beautiful and tastefully decorated space during the day, with window coverings for privacy at night. However, we never felt a need to cover the windows since each villa is surrounded by lush vegetation which offers full privacy. Each villa offers a king size bed with white linens forming a canopy that frames the view to the bathroom and outdoor bath area. We arrived at night and took most of our photos of the villa then, so you can see the cozy ambience at night as well. The desk area is equipped with a mini bar with soda, beer, snacks, and liquor as well as complimentary bottles of water. The staff is happy to bring as many bottles of still or sparkling water as you need for no extra charge to your room, which you will need as it can get very hot during the day. The resort produces the water on the island using a crystal purification system and bottle it in reusable glass bottles to be eco-friendly. At turn down service each night, they leave a snack under the glass dome, usually some kind of local specialty like the sour plantain pudding below.
Each villa also provides a Nespresso coffee machine and a variety of tea for an afternoon pick-me-up or morning dose of caffeine before the incredible complimentary breakfast.A unique room amenity is the iPad which provides information about the resort, restaurants, activities, history of the Maldives, and more. We brought our own iPad and downloaded the app with the same information, so didn’t end up using theirs, but it’s a nice touch for those who are traveling light. The spacious and sun-filled bathroom offers his and hers sinks, a rain shower, a separate room for the toilet, and ample closet space. His and hers closets include bathrobes, slippers, a beach tote, and umbrellas as in-room amenities. They also store a life jacket in each closet in case of an emergency, which thank goodness we never needed. The shampoo, conditioner and shower gel are by Le Labo in the tubereuse scent which is my favorite to date. They are stored in reusable ceramic bottles instead of small plastic bottles to stay in line with their eco-friendly practices. The resort won a prestigious EarthCheck award for their environmentally sustainable design and practices and employs a marine biologist to make sure they are continuously monitoring their impact on the environment. In case you didn’t notice, there’s even a telephone in the toilet room in the event that you need some assistance. 😉 The outdoor bathroom and rain shower was one of our favorite features of the villa, since we had never before had the opportunity to take a shower outdoors. I personally hate taking a shower when the air-conditioning is on, so being able to shower outside in the hot sun felt amazing to me. The area offers complete privacy with tall walls and trees to make sure you have no hesitations about someone peeking at you. A terrazzo bathtub, bench, and plants add to the zen feeling of the outdoor bath area. You can take a bath at night while gazing up at the stars, perhaps sipping a glass of the sparkling wine they offer to Hyatt Diamond members as a welcome gift. What could be more romantic? They even provide little sachets of bath salts to deepen the relaxation experience. Each villa has a deck and outdoor dining area leading down to a private little path to the beach. We enjoyed relaxing on the lounge chairs gazing out at the turquoise water from under the shade of the tropical vegetation, while others staying at the resort opted to move their chairs to the beach to soak up the blazing sun.Whether chilling in the air-conditioned villa, lounging in the shade of the tropical vegetation, enjoying the outdoor rain shower, bathing under the stars, or soaking up the sun on the private beach, the park villas induce pure relaxation and rejuvenation. The Park Villas are Park Hyatt Maldive’s most basic villa, but they feel anything but basic in this extremely exclusive and luxurious resort. They are almost identical to the Park Pool Villa, which has a private plunge pool and sun bed area.
