During our luxurious vacation in the Maldives, we enjoyed several nights in a Park Pool Villa at Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa. Thanks to being Hyatt Diamond members, we were able to get a free upgrade from their standard Park Villa after our first several nights. The two villas are nearly identical, with the exception of the private plunge pool and outdoor lounge beds in the Park Pool Villas, which immensely added to our pleasure. We stayed in and highly recommend Park Pool Villa 25, which has a better beach than the other side of the island. The private pool is perfection on a hot sunny day in paradise and the views are breathtaking. The indoor space is the same as the Park Villa, with floor-to-ceiling windows allowing sunlight to flood the space and brighten any mood. The decor is minimalist and elegant in line with Park Hyatt’s understated luxury. Each villa is constructed of Maldivian timber and provides a king-size bed, a lounge chair for gazing out at the turquoise ocean, a large desk area, spacious indoor bathroom, and outdoor bath area. Pocket doors can be pulled out of the walls for ultimate privacy, but each villa is secluded by lush vegetation so we never needed to close them. With such a tranquil and priceless view, it seemed like a shame to obstruct it.Each villa has a flat screen TV and iPad with information about the resort and Maldives. Just below the TV is the mini-bar with drinks and snacks for purchase as well as complimentary chilled bottles of water, which are refreshed several times daily. The desk area also has complimentary coffee and tea with a Nespresso machine. The villa’s simple earthy decor complements the natural beauty of the island and is very inviting and luxurious. The indoor bathroom has dual sinks and vanity areas so no need to fight over the sink while brushing teeth. Huge windows and a glass door look out upon the outdoor bath area’s rain shower, terrazzo bathtub, wooden bench and plants. The in-room amenities are the same as the Pool Villa and include bathrobes, slippers, beach totes, and umbrellas for use throughout the resort. Should you realize that you forgot something essential, just call the front desk and they will help you out. I got a terrible sunburn and they gave me a bottle of calamine lotion to soothe the burn and offered to have their in-house doctor see me since the burn was so painful. The large closets allow you to store your luggage and hang up your clothing and then slip into a cozy bathrobe and slippers after a rain shower. You will certainly slip back to the villa for an afternoon nap or private meal on the deck with some room service. We spent more time at the villa once we upgraded to the Park Pool Villa, since the plunge pool and superior beach views offer everything you need for a perfect vacation day.If you’re like us, you want to spend most of your time at the villa in the outdoor space to enjoy the natural beauty of the Maldives while enjoying complete privacy. A refreshing dip in the plunge pool while gazing out at the Indian Ocean’s shades of blue is all you need to melt away any worries or thoughts of the stresses of home. Or relax on the sunbeds on the beach under the shade of palm trees. No matter where you go, there is beauty to be seen and relaxation to be enjoyed. The exceptional staff at Park Hyatt Maldives even brought us some coconut water to quench our thirst since they ran out of the coconuts during the Manager’s cocktail reception and promised to get some for us before the end of our stay. What a perfect way to end a dream vacation in one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
