During our dream vacation to Bora Bora, we stayed at the Conrad Bora Bora Nui for a week with our kids using our Hilton points. Although staying in a Bora Bora overwater bungalow is on our travel bucket list, we wanted to wait until our kids are older (and better swimmers) before staying in an overwater villa. The perfect Bora Bora hut for our beach-loving family was the King Beach Pool Villa, where we stayed for 5 nights.
Here we review the Conrad Bora Bora Nui King Beach Pool Villa, which is perfect for families or couples on a romantic getaway. This gorgeous villa offers the benefits of being right on the beach while enjoying spectacular views of the turquoise Bora Bora lagoon, which is just steps away. Make sure to read our comprehensive Conrad Bora Bora Nui review for tons of photos and details on the resort’s setting, restaurants, activities, service, spa, pool, beach and more. King Beach Pool Villa Review
The King Beach Pool Villa is situated right on the beautiful white sand beach. It has a thatched roof to give it that classic Bora Bora hut look while being incredibly modern, updated, and luxurious. Formerly Hilton Bora Bora Nui, the resort was completely refurbished and reopened in April 2017 as Conrad Bora Bora Nui.
The resort spared no expense in renovating the villas with high-tech features like Bluetooth systems, luxe furnishings, and sliding glass doors that allow guests to enjoy the breezes off the South Pacific Sea. It is widely agreed upon by luxury travelers that the Conrad Bora Bora Nui is one of the best Bora Bora resorts, if not THE best thanks to its recent renovations. In comparison, many of the other Bora Bora luxury resorts are much older and in need of updates. With that said, let us show you around the goregous King Beach Pool Villa.
Views from our Bora Bora Hut
There are only 2 beach pool villas, so make sure to book well in advance if you are intent on staying in one. These villas are located in one of the most picturesque spots on the island. They are backed by lush vegetation and look out onto breathtaking water in shades so vibrant they look photoshopped.
In fact, during our stay, we witnessed an intimate wedding happening right in front of our villa. Later during our stay, a photographer was taking professional photos of a couple on their honeymoon on the stretch of beach outside our villa. So there’s a wide consensus that this stretch of beach is picture perfect.
We were there celebrating our anniversary and had a blast doing our own photo shoot just outside our villa. You can see how gorgeous and romantic it is on this little slice of paradise. Each morning waking up to this view was beyond our wildest dreams. One morning we even woke up to a vivid rainbow which truly felt like we were in a dream.

Beach Pool Villa Bedroom
The King Beach Pool Villa is both luxurious and spacious at 1,335 square feet. The king bed faces an entire wall of floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that look out onto the private plunge pool, beach and lagoon. When you enter the villa you are definitely hit with the “wow” factor.
The villa is so gorgeous that you may not ever want to leave, especially if you’re celebrating your honeymoon or anniversary. With 24-hour room service, you don’t even have to leave. However there are so many other stunning spots throughout the resort that you can’t miss.
The villa has a king-size bed and a sofa that sleeps one adult or 2 children. Children under the age of 13 stay free with their parents, which is beneficial for families. One feature of this villa that was especially exciting was that 32” LCD HDTV rises out of the table at the foot of the bed. This way you can enjoy the view and only see the TV when you need it. Our kids thought this was incredibly cool, and we have to admit we did too.
On one side of the bed is a small table with a chair and ottoman and the mini bar. There’s also a shelf with a phone and space to store more of your belongings.
Dressing Room and Work Area
Next to the mini bar is the dressing room area with a desk. This area has ample closet space to hang and unpack your luggage in the drawers. However, compared to the Garden Villa, there is not as much closet space. It was sufficient for us, so it should be plenty for any family since we don’t pack light. There are also plush robes to slip into after your bath.
Luxe Bathroom
The ultra-luxe bathroom is another highlight of the villa. It features an enormous bathtub that is definitely the biggest bathtub we have ever seen. Our kids splashed around in there like it was their own private pool until their fingers became prunes and we had to force them out. They had so much fun in that bathtub! Adults can have their own fun too, relaxing with a glass of wine while the villa’s Bluetooth system plays chill music.
The back wall of windows lets natural light flood the space, giving it a serene feel. Granite vanities for him and her means you don’t have to argue over counter space. There is a separate room for a shower and a separate room for the toilet, which is always appreciated for extra privacy.
Luxuriant bath products are by Shanghai Tang in a clean Mandarin Tea scent. They were generously restocked by housekeeping during our stay.
Mini Bar
The mini bar selection includes drinks, snacks, and alcohol for purchase as well as complimentary tea and coffee. There’s a hot water kettle and nespresso machine. At turndown service, guests receive a complimentary bottle of water.
The mini bar items for purchase include half bottles of wine, beer, juice, soda, bottled water, and liquor. Here is the menu showing prices in XPF, the French Polynesian currency. To give an idea of the high prices, cans of soda are $7.50 and a half bottle of wine starts at $33. Save money by stocking up at the grocery in Vaitape, where they sell alcohol as well.
Terrace with Private Plunge Pool
We’ll end back where we started on the gorgeous terrace with its own private plunge pool. The terrace has 2 lounge chairs on the upper level next to the pool. There’s also a shaded dining area with a table and 2 chairs. The lower wooden deck area has 2 more lounge chairs and steps leading down to the beach. There’s a water faucet to rinse the sand off your feet. On the beach there are 2 more lounge chairs with an umbrella.
As a family with young kids, having our own pool was a great way to let the kids have fun first thing in the morning while we weren’t quite ready to head out for the day. They also loved playing in the sand and were ecstatic about finding so many hermit crabs on the beach.
They could spend hours playing on the beach and splashing in the pool while we relaxed on the lounge chairs of our terrace. It was the absolute perfect setup for our family. The water in the lagoon is shallow enough by the beach villas that the kids could wade in and swim safely. For families with kids who don’t feel safe in an overwater villa, a beach pool villa is the best choice.
Last thoughts on our Conrad Bora Bora Nui King Beach Pool Villa Review
The Conrad Bora Bora Nui is one of the most beautiful resorts we’ve ever stayed at, rivaling the Park Hyatt Maldives. When we walked into our Beach Pool Villa, our jaws dropped over the gorgeous views. Every morning we woke up feeling so incredibly thankful and blessed to be in such a stunning setting. Although we hope to stay in an overwater villa in Bora Bora once the kids get older so we can cross that off our bucket list, we think the beach villas are ideal for families.
Staying on the the beach with million dollar views of the lagoon gives you the best of both worlds. In fact, even if our kids were old enough to stay in an overwater villa now, I think we would still prefer the beach villa for the immediate access to the beach. Even the newly married couple without kids staying next to us loved their morning walks on the beach. We absolutely loved the King Beach Pool Villa and hope to stay there again. We are already planning our next visit to the Conrad Bora Bora Nui Resort.
